RICHLAND, Wash.-IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities is one month away and the City of West Richland is advising residents to be ready for some road closures.
Part of the the 56-mile bike course of the race will go through West Richland necessitating some traffic delays, detours and road closures on Sept. 22.
Athletes are expected to be biking through West Richland between 8 a.m. and noon and traffic control will be put in place beginning at 7 a.m., according to a post from the city of West Richland.
In West Richland athletes will be coming down Dallas Road to Bombing Range Road, turning left on Keene Road at the signal, and taking Keene Road to Van Giesen.
After turning right on Van Giesen, athletes will then move out of West Richland towards the by-pass Highway.
