ELLENSBURG, Wash.-Both directions of I-82 are currently closed between Ellensburg and Yakima due to a fire.
Eastbound lanes are closed at Thrall Road near exit 3 due to the brush fire and westbound traffic is stopped at Firing Center Road at exit 26, according to the Department of Transportation.
A detour is in place via SR 821 through the Yakima River Canyon.
There is currently no estimated time for when the road will be reopened.
