I-182 crash wrong way driver had 0.106 blood alcohol concentration

PASCO, Wash.–In our original coverage we incorrectly reported that the suspect was released on bail. The suspect is still in custody at Franklin County Corrections Center.

The wrong way driver in the deadly I-182 crash, killing three, was drunk at the time of the incident, according to court documents.

The driver, Zachary Schwartz, was found with 0.106 blood alcohol content and was laughing in his Mustang about the incident, according to court documents.

He was charged on three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault, according to the documents. His bail is set at $250,000.
