PASCO, Wash.-Thefts and attempted thefts of Hyundai and Kia cars remain high in the Tri-Cities area.
According to Pasco Police, free anti-theft software upgrades are available through Hyundai and Kia dealerships, however, car owners are still reporting thefts.
Even if drivers have upgraded the anti-theft software there are some steps that can be taken to prevent car theft.
Car theft prevention tips from Pasco Police:
Consider using a steering wheel lock as a visual deterrent to potential thieves.Keep your car locked.Do not leave valuables in your car.Never leave your car running when you are not in it.Park in well-lit areas.Never keep you title in your car.
