KENNEWICK, Wash.–A collision resulted in an injury and blocked the intersection of HWY 395 and Yelm St. earlier this afternoon.
Traffic officers nearby responded to the scene alongside Washington State Patrol, who quickly determined one of the involved drivers fled the scene, according to a Kennewick Police Department Facebook post.
Officers set up containment and deployed a drone to locate the driver who fled on foot, according to the post. The suspect was found within 15 minutes and was detained for investigation.
WSP took custody of the man and are leading the investigation, according to the post.
