Heavy mud and standing water cause Yakima trails to close

YAKIMA, Wash.–Three Cowiche Canyon Conservancy trails closed on November 22.

Cowiche Canyon Uplands, Rocky Top and Snow Mountain Ranch are closed until further notice because of heavy mud and standing water, according to a Cowiche Canyon Conservancy Facebook post. The trails are closed to both hikers and bikers.

The main Cowiche Canyon Trail, and trailheads, as well as the Konnowac Pass are still open, according to the post. More information on trail closures and locations can be found on the Cowiche Canyon website.
