RICHLAND, Wash.-Work on the Hains Street Levee Trail is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 13.
The south section of the river path of the levee above Hains Street will be closed through the end of June for tree and root removal, trail repair, asphalt removal and repaving, according to the City of Richland.
Vegetation close to the path will be taken out before the old asphalt is removed and the trail is prepared for paving on May 20.
According to the City, the half-mile section of the levee from Porter’s Barbecue to River Road will be closed during the project.
