PASCO, Wash.-A Tri-Cities Holiday tradition returns on Dec. 23 with Grigg’s Department Store’s Famous All Night Sale.
2024 marks the 62nd All Night Sale at the department store located at 801 Columbia Street in Pasco.
Grigg’s sells just about everything from sporting goods to toys, tools, clothes and anything in between. The All Night Sale is a community shopping tradition and homecoming of sorts, where those in town for the holidays catch up.
“I’ve run into people all over the country that say, ‘I used to live in the Tri-Cities and I used to go to that All Night Sale’,” Charlie Grigg said.
Items will be deeply discounted for the All Night Sale on Dec. 23, with hourly specials starting at 6 p.m. and running until 1 a.m. The full ad for the sale will be released online on Dec. 20.
“We sell just about everything except groceries,” said Charlie Grigg. “We’ve got everything for everybody.”
The grandparent’s of current owner Charlie Grigg opened the store in Pasco in 1939 and the company has expanded to it’s current location, which covers two blocks in Pasco, as well as locations in Richland and Kennewick.
A shopping destination and Tri-Cities staple, Grigg’s is now a fourth-generation family business with Charlie’s children now in the industry.
“I learned how to do it from my father,” Grigg said. “My kids are learning how to do it from my father and me.”
In addition to his stores, Grigg is also active in the community and the All Night Sale is an opportunity to raise money for charity through the sale of tickets for the right to buy discounted items.
“We’ll raise $10,000 that night for the Children’s Hospital,” Grigg said. “It’s a family event and it’s fun.”
