GREAT FALLS, Mont. – A nonprofit in Great Falls is raising $1 million to save a piece of community land from development on Fox Farm Road.
The Missouri River Open Lands Preservation Group is working on raising the money for a plot of land on Fox Farm Road, which is a common location for hikers and dog walkers.
The group wants to raise the funds so the neighbors can continue to use it.
The funds are due Aug. 23, but if they cannot raise enough money, plans will begin for developing apartment complexes and a golf course.
