YAKIMA, Wash.-Been storing up those glass bottles and containers to make a recycling run? The Downtown Association of Yakima is hosting a glass recycling drive on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Residents are invited to drop off their glass products at the Rotary Marketplace from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. during the glass recycling drive.
Those bringing glass to the event should rinse out all bottles and containers first and remove all caps and metal or plastic collars, according to a Downtown Association of Yakima social media post on the event.
A $5 minimum cash donation is required to recycle the glass and volunteers will be on hand to help determine what items can be accepted and are recyclable.
The Yakima Rotary Marketplace is located at 15 West Yakima Avenue.
