Gap2Gap MultiSport Relay returns to Yakima on June 1

YAKIMA, Wash. – The Gap2Gap MultiSport Relay is returning to Yakima for the 40th time on June 1, featuring a five leg race with running, biking and kayaking.

The race can be done as an individual, in a pair or as a group of four. It starts and finishes at Sarg Hubbard Park and goes along the Yakima River Greenway for much of the race.

The race starts with a one mile mixed surface run through Sarg Hubbard Park and Riparian Trails and is followed by a six and a half mile kayak section down the Yakima River.

After kayaking comes a long biking section split in two. It starts with a climbing 18 mile road bike course and ends with an eight and a half mile downhill mountain bike course.

The race ends with a flat four and a half mile run on the Yakima Greenway with a Slip N Slide at the very end.
