From city offices to public transportation: Thanksgiving closures around the region

TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 28 and most offices, city services, government buildings and public transportation will be closed for the holiday.

Here’s a list of Thanksgiving closures around the region.

Tri-Cities:

Ben Franklin Transit: All Ben Franklin Transit Services will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28.Richland: Richland Facilities will be closed on Nov. 28 and 29.West Richland: All city offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.Pasco: Some city offices will have adjusted schedules on Nov. 27 and city offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Prosser:

City offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.There will be no garbage collection on Nov. 28, normal service will resume the next business day with schedules a day ahead to include Saturday pickup.

Yakima:

City of Yakima offices and facilities closed Nov. 28 and 29.City Hall, Y-Pac and Yakima Parks and Rec all closed both days.Yakima Transit will not be running on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28.No garbage collection. Garbage collection will resume and be pushed a day forward.Municipal Court, police and fire departments will be closed, however, emergency services will still be available.

Ellensburg:

City Hall and city facilities will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.No Central Transit or paratransit service on Nov. 28.

Walla Walla:

Most city offices and facilities will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.Garbage will not be collected on Nov. 28, but will be collected a day later.

Umatilla:

State and city offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Hermiston:

State and city offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.
