RICHLAND, Wash. – An agreement has been reached that allows visitors to local libraries to receive free library cards. The Richland Public Library announced in a Facebook post a Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement with Mid-Columbia, Walla Walla and Columbia County libraries.

Library visitors can apply for the free cards to the specific library in person with a valid photo ID. The cards grant access to the libraries’ physical items and databases.

Reciprocal library cards do not apply to certain digital materials such as Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy.
