FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.-The Franklin County Fire District received new fire safety education materials thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation and Amazon on Oct. 21.
The Franklin County Fire District received a grant of $43,000 for new fire safety inflatables for safety education and demonstrations in schools and the community, according to a press release from the GSF.
The grant was awarded by the Gary Sinise Foundation that supports veterans and first responders in salute to the services they provide to their communities.
Gary Sinise Foundation staff and Amazon volunteers presented the new equipment in Franklin County and served meals of gratitude at Franklin County Fire Station 33
The Gary Sinise Foundation is partnering with Amazon to provide more than $200,000 worth of first responder grants for equipment across Washington.
