Franklin County Emergency Management to host hazard mitigation planning meetings

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – Franklin County Emergency Management will hold public meetings on hazard mitigation planning on Oct. 1 and 2 in Pasco and Connell.

Community members can learn about hazard mitigation, review hazards within the county and provide their input on the hazards and their health impacts on the county.

Hazard mitigation expert Michael A. Kemp, Ph.D., will be in attendance to give a hazard mitigation overview.

Two meetings are planned for Oct. 1 at 1011 E. Ainsworth St. in Pasco from 10 a.m. to noon and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Oct. 2, the meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 104 E. Adams St. in Connell during its City Council Meeting.
