TRI-CITIES, Wash.-A bass fishing tournament set for Sept. 28 at Columbia Point Marina in Richland will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
All proceeds from the tournament, hosted by GSM Outdoors, Grigg’s Department Store and Tri-Cities Ace Hardware will go to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane.
“Sacred Heart gave me one of the most precious things in my life,” said Charlie Grigg, owner of Grigg’s Department Store.
Grigg’s first child was treated at Sacred Heart in 1988 and he has supported the hospital and the work they do ever since, according to a press release on the event.
“The Ace stores in Eastern Washington and northern Idaho have just completed a refresh of the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), a commitment of over $1.5 million dollars,” said Grigg. “Little stores, rounding up their change.”
Registration for the fishing tournament is now open.
