Fish and Wildlife managed lands impacted by Retreat Fire reopened

RIMROCK, Wash.-Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife managed lands closed due to the Retreat Fire that burned this summer in Yakima County are now reopened.

According to the WDFW, access to some areas may still be restricted and could affect hunting this fall.

Hunting in the Oak Creek Basin and south of US 12 could be impacted, according to a WDFW social media post.

The Oak Creek USFS 1400 Road and USFS 1302 Road near Windy Point are still closed.

The Retreat Fire burned over 45,000 acres in July and Aug.
