First American Airlines flight at Tri-Cities Airport takes off to Phoenix

PASCO, Wash. – The first American Airlines flight out of the Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) took off for its inaugural flight on Thu., Feb. 15 heading to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) in Arizona, according to a press release.

The dual-class Embraer 175 arrived in Pasco at 1:18 p.m. and made its first departure for Phoenix at around 2:16 p.m. It is scheduled to arrive at 6:03 p.m.

“We are thrilled to add to our airline family by welcoming American Airlines to the Tri-Cities,” said Tri-Cities Airport Director Buck Taft. “This new flight opens a world of opportunities for our passengers by both expanding our destination offerings and connecting travelers to a major hub that can take them to different parts of the globe.”

Flights between PSC and PHX will now happen daily through American Airlines. The flight has room for 76 passengers.

With the addition of service to PHX, PSC passengers can now directly fly to ten major cities across the United States.

2023 was PSC’s busiest year on record with around 873,000 passengers going through the airport. PSC says this new route is part of the airport’s historic growth trend.
