These fire crews showed sheer dedication to their job – by rescuing 24 sheep from a flooded field.
The farmyard animals became trapped in rising water in Chester after baa-rmy weather brought heavy rainfall.
Three fire engines and a rescue boat were involved in the mission to bring the sheep to safety on Monday afternoon.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Trained swift water and animal rescue firefighters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service used three inflatable rafts and a rescue boat to bring them to safety.”
On social media wag quipped: “Ewe did a great job.”
