Fire in Pasco leaves house uninhabitable

PASCO, Wash. – A Pasco home is left uninhabitable after a fire around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The fire was first reported around 2:03 near the 1800 block of W. Brown St. in Pasco, according to Pasco Fire Department Deputy Chief Tim Harkins.

Crews arrived on scene at 2:09 and the fire was under control around 2:15 p.m.

No injuries have been reported. One person was evaluated for smoke inhalation on scene, but was cleared according to Deputy Chief Harkins.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Pasco FD.

American Red Cross is assisting the family with temporary housing while the home gets repairs.

Brown street was closed for about an hour for fire response, and has been reopened.

Pasco fire was assisted by the Pasco Police Department and Franklin County Fire District #3.
