Fire danger still HIGH in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-Fall may be here, but fire conditions remain HIGH in Benton County.

Due to consistent warm, dry conditions the fire danger forecast is high until further notice, according to the Benton County Fire Marshal.

Under high fire danger wildfires are likely. Wildfires that spark will be difficult to control in windy conditions and mop-up will be required.

Public outdoor burning is also not permitted except for legal recreational fires within a metal ring, according to a Benton County press release.
