BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-Westbound I-82 was reduced to one lane near milepost 116 west of the Tri-Cities on the morning of Feb. 23.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the closure was due to a car fire.
Benton County Fire District #1 responded to the fire around 6:54 a.m. after a passerby reported seeing flames.
According to a BCFD1 social media post, when fire crews arrived the truck was burning and the trailer was threatened.
The driver of the truck got out of the car safely and reported that there was a full 100 gallon fuel tank in the bed of the truck. No injuries were reported in the fire.
