Fire crews respond to motorhome and manufactured home fire in Yakima, propane tank explodes

YAKIMA, Wash.- On July 4, fire crews extinguished a motorhome and manufactured home fire, according to Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux with Yakima County Fire District 4.

Fire crews responded to reports of a motorhome on fire at 6:21 p.m. at 371 Woodward West Road.

The fire started in the motorhome and caused a propane tank to explode, engulfing the structure. It is unknown how the fire started.

The fire spread to the attic space of a nearby double-wide manufactured home.

By 8:40 p.m., the fires were out, but the motorhome and manufactured home were destroyed.

All occupants had exited the property before fire crews arrived. No one was injured.

No roads were closed, and no other structures were threatened.
