YAKIMA, Wash. – A wildfire burned half an acre in Sarg Hubbard Park near the Yakima Greenway Foundation before being contained on Thu., June 20.
Yakima Fire Department Shift Commander Mike Trujillo says the fire was reported after 1 p.m. and was contained in around an hour.
YFD is investigating the cause which Trujillo says is “suspicious.”
No emergency de-energizations were performed as a result of the fire and no one was injured, according to Trujillo.
