Fire contained after burning 5 acres in median of I-182 in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. – A wind-driven fire is fully contained after burning five acres in the median of I-182 at Road 68 in Pasco, according to Pasco Fire Deputy Chief Chris Mortensen.

Mortensen says PFD, Benton County Fire District 2 and Franklin County Fire District 3 responded to the fire, which burned on the south side between I-182 and the onramp to Road 68.

While the fire is contained, drivers should expect traffic delays. No injuries have been reported.
