KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Finley chapter of the Future Farmers of America was recently awarded a grant to help members showcase their projects in the community.
AgWest Farm Credit presented the River View High School FFA program and its advisor, Career and Technical Education instructor Jennifer Yochum, with a $2,500 check.
“By helping us secure these resources, AgWest Farm Credit is making a significant contribution to agricultural education and awareness in our community,” said Yochum.
According to the Finley School District, the grant funds will be used to replace project backgrounds and displays the FFA members use when showcasing their projects and educating the public on agriculture.
“The project backdrops play a pivotal role in showcasing the hard work and dedication of Finley’s FFA members all while educating the general public on students’ projects,” said Yochum.
