KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Finley Future Farmers of America has been awarded a grant to be used for a student transport vehicle.
The $40,000 grant from the Washington State FFA Foundation will allow Finley’s chapter of the FFA to purchase a vehicle to transport members to activities, competitions and events.
The vehicle will improve access to FFA programs and opportunities for Finley FFA members according to a press release on the grant, while also enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of chapter operations.
“We are thrilled and grateful to receive this generous grant from the Washington State FFA Foundation,” said Mrs. Yochum, one of the Finley FFA advisors and grant writer. “This student transport vehicle will greatly benefit our members by expanding their access to FFA activities and enriching their agricultural education experiences.
