Festival de Cultura Viva set for Oct. 6 in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-A Festival de Cultura Viva is set for Sunday, Oct. 6 in Walla Walla as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The community is invited to the free event to celebrate the Hispanic culture and art of the Walla Walla Valley from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Gesa Power House Theatre, according to event organizers.

The festival will feature live entertainment, community organizations and resources, activities, art displays and food.

Musical performances will include the Pura Vida Orchestra from Portland, as well as Mariachi Wenatchee and many others and children will have the opportunity to take part in art activities, including sand art and making paper flowers, according to festival sponsor Teatro Popular.
