YAKIMA Wash.- A 42-year old man died from stab wounds on June 7th after attempting stop an intruder from attacking his 15-year-old daughter.
The Yakima Police Department (YPD) reports, arriving at the 1900 block of Boggless Lane to respond to a stabbing. Police found the 42-year-old father dead at the scene. The 15-year-old was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police confirmed the suspect is a 33-year-old man who came into the home and attacked the minor. The father woke up to the commotion and began defending his child. The suspect stabbed the father several ties resulting in his death.
YPD booked the suspect into the Yakima County Jails on multiple felony charges which include 1st degree murder.
