PASCO, Wash. – A family of four is without a home following a fire on Dec. 15 in Pasco.
According to a press release from Deputy Fire Chief Tim Harkins with Pasco Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a home on the 200 block of West Shoshone Street at 12:13 p.m.
On scene, crews could see smoke and visible flames from the attic. After confirming the home’s occupants were out of the house, crews quickly extinguished the fire by opening up the ceiling underneath the attic space.
No one was injured, but the damage from the fire, smoke, and water has displaced the family of two adults and two children until the home is repaired.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family. The Pasco Firefighter’s charitable foundation provided the family with a car seat after theirs was damaged in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Pasco Police, Franklin PUD, Franklin County Fire District 3, and Kennewick Fire assisted with the incident.
