YAKIMA, Wash.-A Family Fun Night and Resource Fair is set for Miller Park in Yakima from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The Yakima Housing Authority is hosting the annual event with Yakima Parks and Rec, the free resource fair will feature law enforcement, community organizations, service providers and entertainment.
The goal of the event is to promote community relationships and neighborhood safety, according to the YHA.
Yakama Nation’s Iksiks Washana’lama (“Little Swans”), Rosebud’s Cheer, traditional Mexican Folk dance and other local talent will perform at the resource fair and hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones and popcorn will be available.
Family Fun Night will also feature kids activities, such as face painting, a dunk tank, craft table, hula hoop contest, a cake walk, and the opportunity to win raffle prizes, according to YHA.
Miller Park is located at 513 N. 3rd Street.
