RICHLAND, Wash. – The yearly free Fall Clean Up in Richland makes its return Nov. 4, allowing for residents to put out extra bagged garbage and organic material throughout fall.
The service runs weekly until Dec. 20 with pickups happening on regularly scheduled service days.
Extra household garbage should be placed near the gray can while extra bagged and bundled organic material should be put near the green can.
Certified compostable bags must be used to compost organic material. Rolls can be picked up for free at the Horn Rapids Landfill or Richland City Hall with a limit of one roll per household.
Items that won’t be accepted include:
Material and bags weighing over 40 poundsLarge appliances, tires, furniture or other bulky items bigger than 2 feet by 4 feetDrywall or other construction debrisTumbleweeds, rocks, bricks, dirt or concrete
