SUNNYSIDE, Wash.-The Annual Lighted Farm Implement Parade is Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. and 20 Sunnyside PD officers will help keep the event safe.
Sunnyside PD, Public Works and volunteers work to coordinate the parade, which is expected to draw around 40,000 people, according to the City of Sunnyside.
“SPD will have 20 officers on duty around the city to make sure our guests are safe throughout the night,” said Sunnyside City Manager Mike Gonzalez. It’s extremely important to me that we have a safe environment for this event.”
The parade will head west on Edison Ave., past City Hall and through downtown before the implements will veer off on Zillah Ave north towards Yakima Valley Highway.
