What Is The Old Man Season 2 About?

Season 2 of The Old Man follows former CIA agent Dan Chase (Bridges) and former FBI Assistant Director Harold Harper (Lithgow) as they set off on a mission to recover Emily Chase (Shawkat) after she was kidnapped by powerful Afghan tribal leader Faraz Hamzad (Negahban). With all three men claiming her as their daughter, Emily experiences an identity crisis that has serious implications.

As Chase and Harper fight their way to get to Emily, Hamzad is forced to make choices that could endanger his family and the village he’s led. Meanwhile, Hamzad’s sister, Khadija is concerned about the path her brother has taken and what it will cost them.

As the stakes are raised and more secrets are uncovered, Zoe McDonald (Brenneman) makes surprising moves after having been drawn into a new world by Chase. The Old Man is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry. The series is written and created for television by Jonathan Steinberg and Robert Levine. Steinberg and Levine executive produce the series with Dan Shotz, Warren Littlefield, Jeff Bridges, David Schiff, Craig Silverstein, and Jon Watts. The show is produced by 20th Television in association with The Littlefield Company.
