Yakima Union Gospel Mission is proud to bring Independent Journalist Michael Shellenberger to Yakima, where he will share insights from his latest book San Fransicko — a profound investigation into what’s dragged this once-great city into a heartbreaking crisis of homelessness, crime, and human suffering… and the approaches that actually work.
Shellenberger’s meticulous and courageous work on this and other subjects has resulted in repeated testimony before Congress, regular contribution to numerous national news outlets, and has made him a worldwide speaker. Raised by Mennonite parents, Shellenberger embraced Christianity in later adulthood while writing about the replacement-religion nature modern apocalyptic environmentalism.
This is a fundraising banquet dinner benefitting the Yakima Union Gospel Mission, so be prepared to experience not only a great speaker, but touching testimonials and learn more about the work that is being done every day on North First Street and across the Yakima Valley!
When: April 25th, 2024 • 5:30pm
