YAKIMA, Wash. – According to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, residents near Marsh Road in Terrace Heights can now return to their homes after a level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation.
Ray Lamoureux from Yakima County Fire District 4 says forward progression of the fire has been stopped, though it has not been fully contained yet.
Ryan Evers from YCFD4 says the fire is around 25 to 30 acres in size and that Marsh Road is closed.
A house roof reportedly caught fire but was put out before damage occurred. No injuries have been reported.
Level 3 evacuations were place on Marsh Road. Lamoureux says crews are unsure of the amount of property lost.
