FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.-The man wanted for escaping furlough in Franklin County in Nov. of 2023 has been caught in Umatilla County.
Michael Nelson, 33, was on furlough from the Franklin County Corrections Center when he failed to return on Nov. 2. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, he was in custody for assault, car theft, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and kidnapping.
The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office found Nelson and returned him to the Franklin County Jail on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
