Elf on the Shelf Goes Tropical This Christmas

In just two decades, The Elf on the Shelf has become a cultural icon, with 28.3 million Elf dolls and pets sold globally since 2005. The mischievous elves have appeared in everything from cereal boxes to Netflix specials, cementing their place in pop culture.

While The Elf on the Shelf may be a relatively new holiday tradition, it quickly became a beloved family custom. The original book has sold more than 11 million copies — the fourth-bestselling children’s book of the last 25 years.

As Christmas approaches, Beaches Resorts is ready to enchant families with a lineup of The Elf on the Shelf-themed activities.

Building on the success of previous years, Beaches Resorts and The Lumistella Company collaborate again to offer a menu of Elf-focused fun from November 29th through January 3rd across locations in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos.

“We are dedicated to creating joyful family moments, and our collaboration with Beaches Resorts allows us to extend that joy into a vibrant, sun-soaked holiday experience,” says Christa Pitts, co-founder of The Lumistella Company.

Beloved Tradition Meets Local Paradise

More than four in 10 US consumers (46%) plan to travel during the upcoming holiday season. The demand for festive getaways remains strong, with bookings at popular travel destinations increasing significantly.

Caribbean resorts dispel the notion that warm-weather destinations do not feel like Christmas. Here, families can expect weekly themed parties featuring stilt walkers, candy fairies, and opportunities to make ornaments.

“Holidays are the season for family memory-making and for many, The Elf on the Shelf brand has become a most loved and anticipated part of their annual traditions,” says Luisana Suegart, Director of Public Relations for Unique Vacations, Inc.

The brand’s newest endeavor, “Santaverse Under the Stars,” invites guests to cozy up for movie nights and story time under the Caribbean sky. The resorts will showcase different clips from The Elf on the Shelf Santaverse and provide goodies for guests. Treats awaiting include freshly popped popcorn, roasted marshmallows, and other themed snacks and refreshments.

“Back by popular Scout Elf demand! — Beaches is curating more holiday season magic for the entire family with plenty of “elf-tastic” happenings and special surprises,” says Suegart.

The dedicated “Scout Elf Central” will serve as a hub for fun activities, including scavenger hunts and a special letter from Santa.

Upon arrival, families can also pick up custom luggage tags for their Scout Elf Carriers and a guide to all resort happenings.

Those staying in the nicely appointed butler suites will receive special V.I.E. (Very Important Elf) Treatment, including themed turndown amenities, milk and cookies, and even mini marshmallow bubble baths.

“We can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for them with special treats and activities during their stay with us,” says Suegart.

A Caribbean Family Christmas

More than 20 million Americans chose to travel for Christmas last year. And as the Caribbean gears up for its peak season, around 38% will do so again.

The most-awarded luxury family all-inclusive vacation experience, Beaches Resorts, has been voted the world’s leading all-inclusive family resort brand for 25 years. These all-inclusive properties boast stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a wide range of family-friendly activities.

“When it comes to bringing the entire family together, Beaches Resorts has everything imaginable under the Caribbean sun,” shares James McAnally, Managing Director at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

All properties offer PADI-certified scuba diving excursions and other unlimited land and water sports, such as kayaking and windsurfing. For those who prefer water adventures on land, the Pirates Island Waterpark includes a surf simulator, swim-up soda bars, kid-friendly pools, and plenty of waterslides.

Around 56% of families with children prefer to choose hotels based on their kids’ clubs or youth programming.

At Beaches Resorts, the Kids Camp programs offer a safe and enjoyable environment for children of all ages. These childcare expert-led programs ensure peace of mind for parents while providing children with exciting activities and entertainment.

Pitts adds, “Families can experience holiday magic like never before, blending the warmth of the Caribbean with the heartwarming traditions of the North Pole. We look forward to celebrating the season with Scout Elf fans in paradise once again.”
