FINLEY, Wash. – Benton County Fire District 1 responded to a manufactured home fire crews believe started from an electrical problem Sunday morning.
In a Facebook post, BCFD 1 said five people in the house woke to the smell of smoke before their smoke alarm went off. When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire in a bedroom. One person was checked for smoke inhalation, but there were no further injuries.
BCFD 1 said the family is being helped by the Red Cross while the electrical system is evaluated. In the post, the fire district also emphasized the importance evacuating homes when there is a suspected fire. Remember, when in doubt, get out!
