The following is a press release is by the Montana Department of Transportation:

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Knife River will be closing the Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound off-ramp at the Main Street Interchange (Exit 309) for a few hours the morning of Monday, May 20. This closure will allow crews time to pave the section of I-90 that connects to this off-ramp.

This ramp closure is anticipated to only last a few hours, weather and other factors permitting. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternative route during this time. Allow for extra travel time if this ramp is part of your normal morning commute.

MDT will reopen the ramp as soon as the newly placed pavement is safe to drive on.

Due to poor weather in the Bozeman area the past few weeks, resurfacing work on the Main Street interchange (Exit 309) has been delayed and is now anticipated to be completed in June.

This work is part of the ongoing I-90 Bozeman East project, which will rehabilitate approximately 3 miles of I-90, along with all Exit 309 ramps. This project begins near the Rouse Avenue overpass and extends to the Fort Ellis Road overpass. Work on this project began in April and is anticipated to be completed in August.
