WAPATO, Wash.-The eastbound lanes of I-82 are closed near exit 44 at the Donald/Wapato exit for emergency road repairs.
According to the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, the road is closed due to a sinkhole. A detour is in place through local roads and there is no estimated timetable for when the road will be reopened.
The Yakama Nation plans to release more information on the situation as it progresses.
