BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-A home off of Valley View Road was destroyed in an early morning house fire on Aug. 6.
Firefighters with Benton County Fire District #1 responded to the house on the 900 block of View Drive around 3:23 a.m. for reports of a garage fire.
According to BCFD1, when firefighters arrived the garage was burning and the fire had spread to the house.
One person was in the house at the time of the fire, but was able to get out safely after being alerted by smoke alarms.
Richland Fire and Emergency Services, the Kennewick Fire Department and Benton County Fire District #4 all assisted with the fire.
The home was destroyed in the fire that also damaged multiple cars on the property, according to BCFD1.
