BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – The Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of a driver under the influence in a purple pickup truck early Sunday morning.
Deputies with the BCSO found the driver however he did not stop and instead tried driving away, ignoring stop signs and hitting a police car.
BCSO eventually was able to stop the driver with help from another driver in the community.
Due to the driver’s refusal to stop for BCSO deputies, the driver’s DUI offense was increased to a felony.
