According to the Northwest Insurance Council it’s important to prepare for an increase in traffic, the potential for wildlife darting into the roadway and winter driving conditions ahead of the holiday travel season.

Prepare your car: Check oil and tire pressure, windshield wipers, tire tread and battery power.Bring the tools: Have chains and any other tools you may need in a roadside emergency, including a phone charger, ice scraper and flares.Pack extra clothes and blankets for you and your passengers.Check your insurance policy and make sure it’s up-to-date.Watch out for wildlife.
