KENNEWICK, Wash.-A motorcycle rider seen speeding and driving recklessly several times on Clearwater Avenue this summer has been arrested.
The 21-year-old driver of the unlicensed motorcycle drove recklessly away from multiple attempted traffic stops, including weaving between lanes, running red lights and reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour, according to the KPD.
KPD officers spotted the motorcycle going westbound on Clearwater around 8:15 a.m. on July 29.
According to the KPD, the driver of the motorcycle began weaving in and out of traffic when they noticed law enforcement and ran a red light at W. Clearwater and N. Kellogg.
Later around 1 p.m., the motorcycle was spotted weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed near Center Parkway and W. Grandridge Boulevard.
The motorcycle was then spotted in the Costco parking lot and after KPD investigated it was determined that the driver worked at a kiosk in the store.
The driver was booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of two counts of attempting to elude a police vehicle and two counts of reckless driving, according to the KPD.
