KENNEWICK, Wash.-The driver of a motorcycle was hospitalized after a fiery crash on the Bob Olson Parkway on Oct. 13.
Kennewick police responded to the single motorcycle crash in the area of Bob Olson Parkway and S. Montana Street around 10:38 p.m.
The motorcycle caught on fire after the crash and spread to grass near the road, according to the KPD.
The Kennewick Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly put out the fire and the driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Westbound traffic was closed as the fire was put out and the scene was cleared.
According to the KPD, speed may have been a factor in the crash and are using the incident to remind motorcyclists to drive safely and follow the rules of the road.
