BENTON CITY, Wash.-A woman suspected of driving under the influence of narcotics was hospitalized after crashing into a building on Sept. 1.
Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Horne Drive for a welfare check after trying to call a number that contacted 911 back.
When Deputies arrived they found a car in the parking area that slowly drove away on the wrong side of the road.
According to the BCSO, Deputies tried to stop the car, however, the driver then sped away before crashing into an empty building at the intersection of Horne Drive and 9th Street.
The woman driving the car was taken to the hospital for injuries she sustained in the crash.
According to the BCSO, the woman showed signs of driving while under the influence of narcotics and charges are pending.
