COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.-A suspect with outstanding warrants, including one for murder, was arrested after a chase with Police on New Year’s Eve.
The car and subsequent foot chase started when College Place Police tried to stop the suspect for speeding on the 800 block of NE Rose Street.
According to College Place Police, the suspect did not stop when police turned on their lights and committed more traffic infractions as he was being followed for several miles with officers, deputies and troopers giving chase.
The suspect eventually stopped near Kenneth Street and South 4th Street in Walla Walla and ran from the car before being arrested in a nearby alley.
The driver, a 31-year-old Walla Walla man, was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, including one for second degree murder, according to CPPD.
The suspect was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail for his warrants and on suspicion of driving under the influence, eluding, reckless driving, obstructing a law enforcement officer and possession of a controlled substance.
