RICHLAND, Wash.-The driver involved in a high-speed chase in Richland was arrested on March 14 and police are still searching for the passenger who was in the car.
The suspect managed to get away from WRPD in the area of Duportail Road and Kennedy Road around 1:18 a.m.
According to a social media post from the WRPD, the suspect was then spotted driving northbound on Bombing Range Road around 1:22 a.m.
The car reportedly turned around at the intersection of Bombing Range Road and Paradise Way and drove toward police, crossed into the oncoming lane and caused an officer to swerve out of the way.
Probable cause was then developed for assault 2nd degree for attempting to ram a police officer and WRPD then pursued the driver.
WRPD officers again found the car after it crashed off of Dallas Road. The two suspects ran from the car and the driver was taken into custody.
The passenger ran up I-182 and was not arrested, according to the WRPD.
No injuries were reported in the chase or arrest.
