KENNEWICK, Wash.- According to a media release sent by the Kennewick Police Department, a drive-by shooting near Kamiakin High School is under investigation.
At 4:44 p.m. Kennewick Police Department received multiple reports of shots fired near Kamiakin High School. Callers also reported a white car driving away from the scene.
When officers arrived multiple shell casings in a nearby parking lot.
According to KPD an apartment building was hit by the gunfire but no injuries were reported.
Kamiakin High School was placed on lockdown until Officers secured the nearby area.
This is an ongoing investigation.
